HOT TOPIC... CAR SEAT SAFETY!
No matter what your seat or how to chose to use it, it is CRUCIAL you
learn how to install and use it properly. Ask the car seat inspector to show you how to use it with and without the
base. Bring someone else with you to help you learn how to use it properly. ( a second pair of eyes is helpful for
the stuff you may forget or miss ) Video taping or writing notes can be helpful also.

"I had to take back my evenflo discovery infant seat. I didn't register it, but
I am registered with consumer reports. The seat flew right out of the base! "

" my 3 year old is 40 lbs and almost too big for his harness ( which is weighted
at 40 lbs ) but still too young to use the car seat with just the seat belt ( as a booster ) So the car seat inspector told
us to get a safety first with a harness weighted to 65 lbs. Much safer. Besides, the safety first seems alot easier
to buckle then our Eddie Bauer. A great and safe seat, but complicated, and the holders for the shoulder straps broke
off "

" I love my graco snug ride infant carrier/car seat. Convenient, easy, and so safe.
I just found out it is just at safe to use the seat without the base as it is with. But it has to be installed properly!

" My car seat feels LESS safe in the base, not only the potential to pop out ( I feel
the infant seat and seat belt should be connected, I don't trust a base that simply CLICKS into the seat ) Also, the
seat can bounce and flip forward with force in the base...not with out though."
"Do NOT get your seat installed by Goores ( on Marconi in Sac ) it's said to be an elite,
family owned baby and kid store, but they charge a small fee to install your seat if you didn't buy it from them. This
is and should be a public service. You can get it done free and a number of other places. Also, from my exp.
the customer services reps there are snooty and not very informative or helpful. "
